  1. Hello Bea,

By way of an introduction, I must say that your creativity is great. I think you present some activities that are really quite excellent.

Secondly, I want to talk about the activity that you present in this post. I think that the audio is perfect for the context of Primary Education. In addition, I think that the gap-filling exercise significantly strengthens the listening work. Furthermore, by including the transcript, you offer a very complete activity. Thank you for creating this material.

Finally, I want to tell you that I, as a teacher, would leave everything as it is, except for sending the exercises by mail. In my case, I would correct the activity in the same computer room.

    Good job!

    Regards,

    Juan Antonio.

  2. Hello Beatriz!
First, I would like to congratulate you for your activities and your blog. I consider that the activity “Ordering food in a cafe” is an innovative way to work the listening. Traditionally, we have listened the audios provided with the English books but sometimes those can be difficult or insufficient. Recording your own voice is a brilliant idea.
However, the way I see these type of activities are that it is better when the pupils work alone and finally they compare with other students their different solutions, because many times a pupil has problem understanding the listening and try to copy their classmates. Therefore, I think it is better if the pupil listen and compare their results.
Finally, it is an excellent idea to use the Dropbox software to share the material. Great job!
    Best regards,
    Rocío Melo.

  3. Good night Beatriz,

The outcome is amazing ! Congratulations for your effort! I find your blog really useful because of a number of reasons:
First of all, it seems to me that having recorded yourself has been the best choice so as to provide your students with a clear listening task. I must confess I wouldn't have thought of doing it, so I will beair it in mind for my following entry.
On the other hand, I agree with Rocío Melo's piece of advice, as that's true that children always try to copy if they don't feel sure about the answer...If I were you, I would ask my students to carry out this task as an individual activity so as to assess their skills in a trustworthy way.
To sum up, I would like to highlight the clear structure of your post, where you have included not only a gap-filling activity, but also the transcription of the recording, which enrich your entry.
    Great job!

    Best regards,
    Belén Santos
